Friendly and outgoing, Adam is the first friend Asami makes at Eterial. Although easily the strongest person at the school, he is also one of the easiest to get along with. He takes a special interest in making sure weaker people aren't taken advantage of by stronger. His best friend, and seemingly girlfriend is Chi ya Longshuu, a Chinese-American with deadly skills and a haughty personality. Where Chi ya's pride upsets people, Adam is there to smooth things over. When he discovers there are other Neo-Eldarins other than he and Chi ya, he is more than happy to give them a hand. He and Leon like to spar with one another, and when Leon returns to Japan, Adam takes care of his gym.

A student at the Etheral School in LA, she is one of the first people to meet Asami, and also one of the first to make her life miserable. Her arrogance goads Asami into accepting a fencing contest, which the Japanese exchange student wins with ease. Shortly after, she is bested by K in martial arts, much to her dismay. However, despite her dislike for the "newbies", she is willing to help her boyfriend Adam defend the out-of-town Eldarins. She even helps to try and rescue Asami, although the attempt is a failure. The two finally come to an agreement when Chi ya is killed in battle and Asami brings her back to life - despite Chi ya's former treatment toward her. When the quartet returns to Japan, she and Adam take care of the gym and dojo started by Leon and K.
