In the world of Arcan, there are many spirit gods. However, there are four which are stronger than the others. They are the ones who are believed to keep the world in balance and keep it turning. In the beginning the world was created by the god Hikami. He created the world from ash and dust and made it into something that could support life, and then gave it to the goddess Tsuna, who gave it life. She nurtured all of the first children of the world. Along her side was the Dragon Ryukami who protected that which she had created, and shared his wisdom to let the children grow (but not without a price). When the children had grown, the Dark God Shinjimu emerged and began to destroy all that Tsuna had created. In her despair she called on Ryukami to save her children. In the battle, Ryukami was victorious and sealed Shinjimu away. However, Shinjimu’s influence is still alive in the world. His words and poisons still spread, though Tsuna tries to heal and Ryukami tries to protect. One day it is said his corruption may become absolute. Should this happen, it is said Hikami will return and destroy the world, so it can be born anew.
The Creator Goddess, Queen of the Sea, the Great Healer.
Tsuna is a wise and merciful goddess, wishing no harm to any of her children. She is said to watch over her children at all times, and will come to their aid. However, she is far more inclined to help those who help themselves. She has the ability to heal any wound, and can restore damage done to the land itself beyond the power of any living being. Her chosen creature is the Unicorn, and she is said to sometimes take this form to walk the earth.
Mother’s Grace:
Full Cure to party 1/session. Does not affect characters below 0 HP; costs no MP.
Queen of the Sea:
The character may cast water spells as if they had one level higher Dynamic Sorcery than they have (if the character uses rune stones, the level rune stone they may use); also all water spells have a -1 to their success and do an extra 5 points of damage.
The Guardian Dragon, Lord of Earth and Sky, the Learned One.
Ryukami is the god of the ground and the sky, of weather and earthquakes. He is also the patron god of learned knowledge. However, he is also a protector god and thus venerated by many warriors. He has powerful offensive and defensive magic. He however is much less tolerant and less forgiving than Tsuna. He too can revive the slain, but cannot heal the land. His form is always that of a Great Dragon. Though he is the Guardian, he is not always inclined to help just anyone. Those who would ask favors from him must first prove themselves worthy.
Dragon Elemental:
A character may choose to assign an elemental attribute to his/her attack (their choice)
three times per game session. The attack does not do additional damage, but has no EP cost; the attack must still be successful, although it gains -1 to hit.
Dragon Strike: A character may choose to have a perfect 1 time per game in an attack. Furthermore, this may be used at any time: Initiative is ignored.
The Destroyer, the Dark Warrior, God(dess) of Darkness.
Shinjimu is the god of destruction and corruption. His single goal is to rule or destroy all that Tsuna made. He has power over darkness, disease, and corruption. He was confined away from the world in a battle eons ago, but desires to return. Even bound away, his power extends onto the mortal realms. It is interesting that this god sometimes manifests as male, sometimes female, while Tsuna is distinctly feminine, Ryukami masculine.
Death’s Hand
The character may make 1 instant kill per 2 game sessions (unless a single game session is extremely long, either in game or real time). No defense is allowed short of Divine intervention. This is subject to Initiative.
Shadow of Doubt
This is an ability like the weather control Darkness Lv. 3; it is usable 1 per game. This darkness dulls all senses. Blind Fighting or other such skills or powers are negated. Lesser extent may be used 1/ day.
The Great Phoenix, the Great One.
The God of Ultimate creation and destruction. He is the god of creation through destruction, the ultimate keeper of the balance between light and dark. Little is known about this god. It is said in times of great crisis, he has appeared to chosen warriors. His Avatar, the earthly being he has chosen to represent his power is said to be able to bring about the destruction or salvation of the world at their death. Hikami is also somewhat indeterminate in sex. Though "he" is commonly used, "She"s have occurred in history. What is more likely is the entity, which is the very force of creation and destruction, has no sex at all.
Phoenix Fire
A fire attack which can be added to a physical attack. The attack affects only as many enemies as the character would normally hit; however it does fire (though no burning) damage as well as physical damage. It penetrates armor and shields and affects incorporeal. The attack does as much damage as the character puts in EP multiplied by 4. It can be combined with other special attacks such Chanbara, or another character’s Dragon Strike. It can be used once per day.
Summon Phoenix
Once per game, a character can call forth a phoenix to help. The phoenix will attack with a fire/holy attack which affects everyone present, harming enemies and healing allies for as many HP as the character is willing to give up. The affects even dead characters.
