Little is known about Ceri’s past. She and Loki came to Fanardis Castle when they were 19, offering their services to the king. Though some say Ceri fled Aeccordian, she has never spoken to anyone about her past - at least if she has, no one has ever spoken of what she said - so the truth will probably remain a mystery. After coming to Fanardis, Ceri’s skill with magic and blade earned her a post as a knight and one of the king’s generals. Once a part of the inner circle, she became close friends with Sir Valmus. She also had the opportunity to see the darker side to the king, and his growing madness. When Valmus first suggested Wilhelm be removed from the throne, Ceri did not agree. It was not until later, when she discovered first hand how cruel he had become did she agree.

When Fanardis Castle was attacked, it was Ceri who gathered together and protected Airi, Rhys and the other escapees from Fanardis. On their own, she took command of the troop, using her skills to keep them alive throughout Aeccordian’s many attacks. Having a strong will and an innate sense of leadership, no one doubted her position. In fact, most have come to follow Ceri loyally. Ceri herself yields her command to Airi, but the Princess seldom took the leadership role, instead trusting Ceri’s experience.

Ceri and Loki have always been close. They generally do not show their relationship in public because they are both very professional. Rather, subtle clues such as their proximity to one another in camp, or the sharing of a tent were the clues of their relationship.

When the girls from Tokyo arrived, it was Ceri who decided to allow then into camp. It was she who first introduced the girls to the magic of rune stones. Throughout the campaign, Ceri led Fanardians during certain missions and battles. She was present during the expedition through the Caves. Ceri’s other major part was during the attack on the Aeccordian camp, when she showed how formidable she could be when someone close to her was in danger.

Upon the defeat of the Aeccordians, and the girls final return, Ceri pledged her services to Queen Airi and helped in the rebuilding of Fanardis. Although she has retired from the position of general, she continues to serve Queen Airi in more subtle ways, keeping the peace along with Loki in places where force is not an option, but diplomacy is dicey. And diplomacy is dicey by nature.
