Midori grew up in a relatively normal family. However, at the age of ten, she discovered she had magical powers. Afraid and confused, she turned to fantasy books for answers, telling no one of her power. She was absorbed by her fictional world and cut off most of her human contact. At the age of seventeen, Midori decided her powers were a gift from a divine power, and began worshipping a goddess devotedly. Essentially disowned by a family that thought her strange, she left home and enrolled in college, studying performing arts and writing, since they allowed her the escapism she needed. Midori has a fondness for nature and all animals, but shuns technology. After unexpectedly sensing magic from the parrot in a pet store, she adopted Lulu, her only companion. Her isolation and religious nature made her naïve, and a little skittish around people. She likes people, but does not trust them because of her secrets. Her respect for life makes her squeamish to the sight of blood, and she is deathly afraid of sharp objects.
