A young Feralan, Miri was a childhood friend to both Airi and Rhys. She is fiercely protective to both of them, and somewhat suspicious of everyone else. Her family was one of the few Feralan families allowed into Fanardis Castle, as most of her people were victims of King Wilhelm’s prejudice. Because of this, she has always been particularly close to Rhys, who was also a victim of the king.

Miri’s family was killed during the attack on Fanardis Castle, but she was saved by Ceri and Leonith. Since then she has stayed with the refugees, alternately hanging around with the adult leaders and watching over the other orphan children of Fanardis. She has a sneaky, mischievous side which is often predominant - after all, she is still a kid. When not hanging out with Rhys or Airi, she can be found with Zeke.

During the campaign, Miri’s chief role was comic relief. At first she mistrusted and harassed the people from Earth, stealing their possessions and just being a general pain in the butt. She and Ryuu particularly had difficulties getting along. Miri received more than one death threat from Ryuu, and at least one memorable beating. As time passed however, it became obvious there was a growing attraction between Rhys and Ryuu. At first this resulted in jealousy, but later as Miri came to realize Ryuu’s feelings were genuine, she accepted Ryuu, and they even eventually became friends.

Upon their return, Miri helped Airi, Rhys, Ryuu and the others rebuild Fanardis, and eventually helped out around Fanardis Castle, either with Ceri and Loki or on her own.
