Here you can find a list of the various BESM campaigns I’ve been in. There is information on characters, plot, and various goodies (such as soundtrack listings). Campaigns are in chronological order within each category.
High School Campaigns, College Campaigns, Dead Campaigns, LARP
This was actually not a BESM campaign per-se, but was actually a game with its own system (although we did pick up the BESM system part way through). It is a combination of magical armor and traditional gothic genres. It only lasted a little while, but was a lot of fun. The first three sessions are written in story form.
Highlights: Moms can be such a pain sometimes. . . .

Eldarin,
Summer 2001- Summer 2002
This was my first completed campaign, and actually it used the first-edition BESM. It ran a full year, and is one of my favorites. It features characters that can transform into angels, demons, and dragons (among other things). I may actually turn this one into a manga.
Highlights: When he's short on cash and have superpowers what does a hero do? He raids Fort Knox. . . . .

My first campaign at Smith, this takes place between two worlds – Earth, and a fantasy realm marked by magic, dragons, an evil empire, forgotten technology and the occasional chocobo. This is the story of four young women caught in a conflict destined to bring the two worlds together.
Highlight: Boko, the baby pink chocobo. (a.k.a. “small pink ball of death”.)

IIA,
Spring 2004
This was my second Smith campaign. It was inspired by FFVII, but quickly turned into its own world. It focuses on a set of characters working – either directly or indirectly – for the Imperial Intelligence Agency of Gardim. Throughout their adventures they learn much about the secrets of their own agency, and even the world itself!
Highlight: IIA agents aren’t always as straight-laced as you might think.

The
Dimensional Tales, Fall 2004
This campaign was run by Mel, and it features world-hopping. In this story, a group of young people (ages 14-early twenties) from Earth with special abilities are chosen to come to the aid of the Elf Queen. Rebels pose a serious threat to the Faerie Realm, and ordered to stop them; to do this, the characters must travel from world to world seeking them out. Their adventures bring them from the Faerie Realm to a world of high technology, a traditional gothic world of werewolves and vampires.
Highlight: Unexpected side trip to Hell.

Rise
of the Mutants!, Spring 2005
This campaign was run by Kei. In this world, there are humans and there are mutants born with special powers. Some accept them, others fear them, but life is never normal for them. A powerful government seeks to subjugate the mutants, leaving a small band of rebels to fight for their freedom from their airship base! The band of mutants from different backgrounds must come together to fight for a better future!
Highlight: One character’s only kill in the entire campaign is because she pukes on an enemy fighter plane.

High
Fantasy, Fall 2005
This campaign was run by Tiffany. In a high-fantasy world, where magic other than that used by a certain order of mages is persecuted. When a group of characters is captured due to their unique magic and sent on a quest to retrieve an artifact, they find that getting the artifact is only the beginning of their troubles. . .
Highlight: Switching bodies with another PC is not fun. And then there’s just Jack.

Unexpected Heroes, Spring 2006
This campaign was run by Meghan. What do egotistical archeologist, a cheerful assassin, a cynical priestess, a musical mechanic and an honorable soldier from an evil country have to do with saving the world? Everything. Traditional and yet very far from it, this campaign takes characters from different backgrounds (and nationalities) and throws them together in a quest that involves ancient artifacts and a goddess or two. . . .
Highlight: Sending the enemy army to the fictional country of Hrothgar. Then finding out it actually exists.

Eldarin II, Summer 2002
This was the sequel to Eldarin. Like the fate of so many good anime series, the sequel was good, but didn’t survive very long. I made it through the first plot arc, but by no means through the full story. In this, the characters are Eldarins in high school created by Asami, one of the main characters from the first Eldarin campaign.
Highlights: One of the characters is the son of an angel and the Queen of Demons who has run away from home, and both sides of the family want him back.

FFMirrors:
Reincarnations, Fall 2003
This was run by Kei. Two hundred years after the events of FFMirrors, the characters from both Fanardis and Earth have been reincarnated as . . . high school students? This one was quite fun, and it was a shame that it didn’t last longer.
Highlight: Non-vegetarian IRA-terrorist gay Zen Buddhist monk who has a crush on a middle school boy.

Ill-fated
Universe, January 2006
This was run by Sora. The universe for eons has been controlled by a being of immense power. Unfortunately his power is so immense it will eventually destroy the universe. To prevent this from happening wisest beings have created a Princess who when married to the omnipotent being, will be able to stop that destruction. The characters are representatives from their home worlds to meet this Princess. Too bad she’s kidnapped and the PC’s get the blame.
Highlight: Hell has a yellow-brick road.
